This painting is very hard to part with because it was full of breakthroughs for me early on. It was my first time painting a shadow, my first time painting something with details depth and lighting , my first time painting a portrait without an underdrawing, and my first time having to completely redo something half way in due to incorrect proportions. It was also the first painting that took weeks to finish so it’ll always be one of my favorite pieces I’ve done.
